Tips To Stay In Shape Over The Holidays


Here are some tips to stay in shape during the season of overindulgence! Stick to these hacks and keep your six-pack throughout the holidays.

1. First of all, stick to your training schedule! It's good to relax and have a little fun, in order to do so you need to earn it. Ramping up your workout routine is a great way to deplete your energy stores and make room for some fun! Creating a calorie deficit leading up to a big Christmas dinner is a great trick to stay lean and muscular.

2.Stay hydrated with lots of water, between 1/2 to 1 gallon (depending on your size and activity levels) per day. Stay away from bottled water and try to consume either fresh spring water or reverse osmosis. It is amazing how many individuals forget to simply drink water! Keep a BPA free water bottle full and on hand wherever you go, no excuses!

3.Follow a long night of holiday partying with a morning of detoxing. Look for a gym or a fitness center with a sauna and sweat the crap out...literally! Try to spend at least 15-20 minutes in there, or until you see the remnants of the night before.

4.Understand ahead of time that if you're going to break some rules, follow it up with some good behavior. It's cliche, but your new year's resolution should be at the forefront of your mind! Circle January 1st on the calendar and commit to a program by investing in a good personal trainer!

5.If anything, just get moving! Even if you have no interest in training intensely over the holidays, try to do something active every day. Whether it be walking the dog, hiking, fitness classes or even swimming, doing something is better than nothing.
