Antioxidant Loaded Berry Blast Protein Shake

The antioxidant loaded berry-blast protein shake is here to save the day when a whole plate of prepared food isn't possible. No worries, at The Gym of Avon, we instruct clients to utilize "super shakes"! These smoothies are easy to make and packed with high quality protein, fiber, good fats, antioxidants and more! In all honesty, these shakes are probably superior in nutritional value to most of the meals your neighbors are consuming on a daily basis. Sound good? The recipe is simple and takes no time to prepare...

 Ingredients:

  • 12 ounces of water, almond milk or coconut milk

  • 2 scoops vanilla or strawberry flavored protein powder

  • 2 cupped handfuls of mixed berries (fresh or frozen)

  • 1 fist size of spinach

  • 2 thumb sizes of walnuts

  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt or vegan alternative

 Instructions:

Add fluid of choice, protein, berries, yogurt and nuts to a blender and blend on high for 1 minute. Next, add spinach to the blender and blend again for 1 minute. Try adding ice to thicken it up or a scoop of a greens supplement for a nutritional jolt!
